Here’s a quick round-up of the last few months of 2025, and a look ahead to some upcoming adventures…
I joined the Start To End crew again in October, performing a fully live rendition of Aphex Twin: Selected Ambient Works 85-92 at the Art School, Glasgow. Steep learning curve but very fun - hopefully we can do it again sometime.
The new Admiral Fallow record, First Of The Birds, was released on 31st October on Chemikal Underground and felt brilliant to get some new music out there after all the writing, recording and planning. Thank you to those who’ve got in touch with kind words about the album and to all who came to see us on our November tour - it’s hugely appreciated.
I finished off the year’s gigs with Tommy Reilly’s All-Star Christmas at St Luke’s, a festive extravaganza raising money for the excellent Tiny Changes.
Here in chilly Glasgow, Celtic Connections is just around the corner… I’ll be playing with Birdvox and Hen Hoose this year - all details on my gigs page.
In February there’ll be some more news from Birdvox - can’t wait to share more about this band! And then the first tour of 2026, a ten-date March run with Andrew Wasylyk, playing music from his brand new record Irreparable Parables. Touring in Spring is lovely.
